Ironbound Farm Organic-Fed Pature-Raised Turkeys

As our turkeys move across the landscape, their nutrient-rich waste nourishes the soil, while their large feet scratch up compacted ground, trample grass into mulch, and press seeds into the earth. What makes this a regenerative cycle is the animals constant flow across the landscape in search of fresh grass. This movement prevents excessive impact and allows the earth to rest and replenish. And one of the key results … healthy soil! Healthy soil is one of the most powerful tools for curbing environmental degradation and climate change.

Rotational grazing not only creates healthy soils, but it gives the space for all our animals to express their full selves in their work. Our animals are invaluable partners, they play an essential role in our land management and food production efforts at Ironbound Farm. We are constantly grateful for the energy and routine they bring to our day to day on the farm.
