OUR FARM

Produce that’s fresh from the fields,
free of conventional chemicals,
and grown with the whole ecosystem in mind.

OUR APPROACH TO AGRICULTURE

Ironbound Farm is a 108-acre transitional organic regenerative farm in the New Jersey Highlands. Our crew uses regenerative farming practices to manage our vegetable crops, infusion plantings, and our extensive orchard of heritage cider apples. Our orchard features some of the East Coast’s largest planting of Newark’s own Harrison apple — early America’s most renowned cider apple.

Managing crops without the conventional chemical arsenal is a huge challenge, but regenerative farming enables us to grow highly flavorful fruit and vegetables while protecting the Highlands’ residents, waterways, soil, air, and wildlife.

INTEGRATED DIVERSITY = RESILIENCY

Through regenerative agriculture, we’re building a healthy and sustainable ecosystem through soil-borne fertility. Because of this interconnectedness, every living organism within our soil lives in a symbiotic relationship with the fruit trees, crops, and livestock on our farm.

As we face the effects of climate change in the Northeast, our regenerative approach to farming continues to build our resiliency, and we are seeing the benefits through the health of our heritage apple orchards as well as the quality of the fruits and vegetables we’re growing.
