ABOUT: Michael Frank & Friends is a band consisting of 4-6 musicians, who mix various influences such as electric/acoustic rock, blues, bluegrass, reggae, and more. Their sound has been described by local news publications as "smooth and experienced" Their original sound is both new and unique yet comfortably familiar. Their music is perfect for dancing and singing along to and is sure to leave you whistling and humming along.

One thing that sets Michael Frank & Friends apart from other bands is their ability to improvise during live performances, taking each song to a different place every time. The band was formed in the summer of 2008 to record their debut album "Yellow Rays" at Hilltop Studios in Bangor, PA. The album is a mix of acoustic songs written and performed by Michael at local weekly Open Mic events throughout NJ/PA.

The idea behind "Yellow Rays" was to put together an album with musicians found at these local Open Mic and jam sessions. Several songs from the album are played on local college and public radio stations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
